We are doing very well. Lily is fan-tabulous. Let's see, she is still lovin' school. We had our first Parent/Teacher conference and her teachers only had good things to say about her. They commented that she is focused, driven, and a friend to all of her peers. Her mommy and daddy could not be prouder. Oh, they did say she needed to be more skilled at galloping and zipping her coat all by herself, so those things have now been mastered as well.
She is signed up for Kindergarten in the fall...she will be in school from 9am till 4pm. Lord help me! I will miss my girl something fierce, but she will love every minute of it. I'm excited for her.
What else? She still loves her dance class. She now claims she doesn't want to be an astronaut when she grows up, but rather a Prima Ballerina. She walks on her tippy toes all. the. time. We are happily hibernating, playing lots of Sorry, Trouble, and Yahtzee. And our favorite days are those spent with my sister and her kiddos...Lily has such a great relationship with her cousins. They all cannot get enough of each other! So, that's about it 'round here (for now).

So funny...I don't get visits much anymore due to my infrequent posts. I'm bad about visiting others as well. Let me just warn you...it takes a while to get used to your baby being at school all day, every day. Wow! I went through a little mourning period. But it sounds like Lily is going to love kindergarten. I know S.G. does!!

I think of you often. Praying God continues to lead your family. I have wanted my Brother and sister-in-law go through 3 domestic adoptions. They are all such a blessing, yet so emotional and different in their own way. I have a glimpse because of what they have experienced to know that it can be so emotional. Hi Nikki, I am sorry I am so late in commenting. It seems I am only making the blog rounds once or month or so these days. Anyway, I am glad you are having a warm, cozy, snuggly winter. Lily is going to be a star in school with her natural curiosity and creativity :-) She is getting so big, I just can't believe it. When I was little, it used to drive me nuts when adults told me how big I had gotten -- I thought they were so dumb because duh! I was supposed to grow ;) Now that I am an adult, I get it to say the least!
