Oh, how I love reading with my kid. It has always been one of my favorite things for us to do together, but now it is as if the books are coming alive in our house! "Lilly's Big Day" is one of Lily's favorites right now. (probably because she thinks it is all about HER!?) Anyway, in the book Lilly wants to be the flower girl in her teacher Mr. Slinger's wedding...she practices and practices at home.
So, one afternoon Lily asked me for some of the flowers out of a vase upstairs in our office and I gave them to her and for the next 15 minutes she "practiced" being a flower girl. "Wook at me, momma, I'm a fwower girl!"
