My girl

If I had to describe Lily in just two words I would have to choose funny and sweet. Obviously she is MANY other things: strong-willed, spicy, clever, beautiful, loving, etc. But, she is honestly one of the funniest kiddos I've ever had the honor of knowing and her sweetness about drops me to my knees. Not everyone gets to see it quite like I do, but that is just one more thing that makes being Lily's mommy so special.

I am constantly journaling about her funny expressions and how she cracks us up on a daily basis...also how she will spontaneously tell us how much she loves us (10 to 20 times a day)...
we are so blessed by her and all of her unique characteristics. When she is 16 and won't give me the time of day, I want to be able to look back at all of this with a nostalgic smile.
Recent funny stuff:

-While building towers with her blocks I put one down and it didn't fit. Lily yells "too small!" Then I tried another one and she yelled "too big!" So, I tried yet another and she yells (while grinning) "too expensive!"
-We belong to a food delivery service called "Schwans" and someone comes to our house every two weeks to see if we need anything. We always get "chicken fries" (chicken shaped like fries) for Lily cuz she loves them. After dinner one night she came up to me and said "I'm reedy full. I need to go poop and empty my bewwy, the Schwans guy gave me too many chicken fwies!"
- I asked her if she would lie down for a bit before dance class to which she replied "No, I won't be sassy." (she knows how she can be without a nap!)

Recent sweet stuff:

-Lying in her bed (for 2 minutes) I had my hand on her head praying silently for her. She asked me what I was doing, so I told her. Then she said, "Pway so I can heaw you"...so I proceeded to pray out loud for her...she still had -and has- that stinkin' cold so I was praying for God to heal her. When I was done she said "tanks" and went to sleep. The next morning she woke up with a stuffed up nose (still) and the first thing she said to me was "I want God to make me feel better." I wondered at that moment how God could NOT just reach down from heaven and zap her snotty nose.
- Daddy was holding her and she wanted me, so she said "I want my mommy, daddy, I reedy yuv her so vewy much. She's so beautiful." (proof that love is indeed blind)
- I was in on the computer (surprise) and Lily called me from the living room saying "It's puzzle time, momma! C'mon, wet's do it wike a famiwee! We're weddy for you!"

This is only a handful of the many things that have made me laugh and/or melt lately. Happy Friday, all! Hubby and I have a date tonight and I can't wait. Lily will be amusing my parents tonight!

I am sure that she keeps you both laughing. I love to hear about all of her little sayings. Oh, do they do The Nutcraker ballet anywhere near you? That would be something great to take her to see. I bet she would love it. I want to try and take Hannah this year.

It is amazing how God has placed this little gift in your home and has so richly blessed you.She may be lucky to be in a loving home but I think you are the ones who have seen more then a blessing from God.She sounds like on amazing ball of energy and personality. I am sure she has daddy wrapped around her fingures as well.
