Looking back - Christmas 2005

Baby's first Christmas. This year was HUGE for our family. We traveled to China in April and became parents after years of longing.

This Christmas was our best ever! (And they just keep gettin' better!) She was 18 months old at the time and had been home with us for eight months. Here are some things that I wrote in my journal that December.

-Lily is starting to talk a little bit. Says sit, shoe, boo (moo), nik (milk), no, no, no! iddeo (video), boon (balloon), ba (ball), barks and pants like a dog...etc, etc.

-Will point out most of her body parts. And shakes her head no - it means no OR yes.

-Lily loves the snow and our Christmas tree with all of the lights...says "ooohhh!"

-Played in the snow for the first time last week. We pulled her and her cousins around on a sled in the front yard. Lily had a blast, yelling "Wheee!" and didn't want to go back inside.

-Really starting to come out of her shell...she'll smile a big toothy grin at strangers in public.

-Lily is a sweet, funny girl who becomes more and more lovable every day. I can't get enough of her. She has made our lives so wonderful in so many ways. This is the merriest Christmas of them all. Thanks God for our precious girl - our angel from heaven.

Thanks for strolling down memory lane with me.
