Favorite Photo Friday

There is something so beautiful about a sleeping child. So sweet, peaceful, and innocent. I have spent a lot of time watching Lily sleep. I love the smell of her; the sound of her breathing; her little hands holding sweetly to her dog or blankie. Every now and then she will whisper a word or a phrase, or just smile. I take this time to say a prayer for her. I pray that she sleeps well and has happy dreams. My sweet girl.

Oh boy. My sweet baby will be sleeping at my sister's house tonight. Her first "sleep over". The first time the two of us will NOT be sleeping under the same roof. I am freaking out just a bit. I will drop her off this morning on my way to work and (if all goes well), I will pick her up TOMORROW morning. Jay and I are going on a much needed date. We haven't been out -- just the two of us -- in months. So, this is a good thing. I am just having a hard time breathing right now. Deep breath. This is a GOOD thing. ( I am such an emotional momma.)

Well, that's it for now. Hopefully I'll have good things to report tomorrow!

*this pic was taken on our last trip to the west side of the state. Lily sleeps soooo well in her carseat. Unfortunately, that is the ONLY place that she sleeps really well.*

Very sweet. Mya doesn't sleep well at other places either. But that carseat is a great place to sleep. Give your baby a squeeze for us. Mya won't let me call her baby anymore. :(

What a beautiful and sweet picture. You are right, there is nothing more pure and beautiful than watching your child sleep.

Good luck tonight without Lily and stay strong. I am sure she will have fun as you will have fun at date night. I cannot wait to hear how it all went.

It's what every mom and mom-to-be dreams of isn't it -- watching their peacefully sleeping child.

You will be fine tonight!! I know it's harder on you than on Lily. Just make your mind up to let go and have a great time!!

I love sleeping pictures. I have a ton. I totally understand about the leaving her over night thing. I had to leave her for our chicago trip, and it tore me up for at least 2 weeks before. My parents are bringing her home today, and I can't wait!! We had fun, and she had fun, it's just hard parting from her.

You're doing a good thing. At least she's close by, and you can go get her if she has a hard time.

You'll be fine. My son was 2 before I slept away from him and we were miles apart. SO I know your anxiety...but that is why you need to date. Gives you a reason to relax and have some fun. Enjoy!

Very sweet and I think the most beautiful thing in the world is a sleeping child! Try not to worry about her sleeping elsewhere, mine sleep great anywhere and it really comes in handy when they get older!!
