Doctor! Doctor! Give me the news!

Well, we heard from Jay's doctor today and he does NOT have a tumor or anything else life-threatening. He has been diagnosed with "cluster headaches"(you can click HERE for more info)...just like I thought. Thank you very much internet! He is picking up his prescription on the way home from work and we are just letting out a big sigh of relief!

Speaking of doctors -- I took Lily to see hers this morning. She has been complaining of an "itchy bootie" for several days and last night she was scooting her butt along the carpet like a dog with worms, so I gave in and called her Pediatrician today. Everything looks fine, so she told me to just soak her in an Aveeno oatmeal bath for a couple days -- could be from all the swimming she's been doing(?)

But, I was telling my sister that Lily loves going to the doctor's office so much I wish I didn't have a 30 dollar co-pay, cuz I would take her there weekly for one of our fun activities. I kid you not...she is in HEAVEN the whole time we are there. Her doc checked her bootie and Lily politely requested that she use her flashlight, so of course the doc obliged. Then Lily insisted that her throat be checked, and then she wanted to wear the stethoscope to check her heart. As I was cashing out Lily was picking out her sucker saying, "I really love going to the doctor's office. I feel better already." I wish I had brought my camera. (not for the bootie inspection, but for the rest.) Oh yeah, and when the nurse was taking her to the scale to get weighed, Lily said matter-of-factly: "I weigh 27 pounds"...and she still does. The kid cracks me up. My doctor kept asking "Is this the same child from a year ago?" To which I answered, "No, she really isn't the same child at all." I hardly recognize her myself sometimes.

Praise the Lord! I am so glad everything is okay. I was hoping to log in and see good news. This is awesome!
I love the pediatrician story. Too funny! I took Mallory recently and she insisted that our pediatrician try some of her Trident strawberry lime gum. He is so sweet. He took a piece and chewed it right there in front of her.

yikes lady- i leave the world wide web for a couple weeks and you have so many blogs and HUNDREDS of commetns to read through! yowsa!
most surprising to me was this moving to tennessee business. hmmm. what/who's ion TN? i guess as long as you visit MI regularly... we'd probably see eachother just as often, as awful as that sounds. i'm so glad jay is okay, and has something to help him feel better. and hey - btw, i am weeks away from starting school! going for my RN. :) miss you. i'm gonna be out of town for a while but come august, i want to set something up!

So glas to hear Jay is OK. Clusters suck but they are the easiest headaches to treat. Are they going to give him Oxygen for them. That just whips them away so if he knows any scuba divers next time he gets one tell him to suck pure Oxygen.

Lily is a crack up. Glad her bum is fine and I am sort of gald you didn't have your camera. LOL

Oh, yippee!! I am so happy it is nothing serious with the headaches, even though nothing is nice about them. From one sufferer to another, I feel his pain and hopes the meds work! Too cute about Lily and the dr. Maybe Shayna should take lessons from her.

So glad it's nothing serious for Jay, although I'm sure the cluster headaches are no fun at all. Yay for Dr. Google!

And as for Lily, oh man, with each story she just becomes more and more dear. How fun and good-natured could one 3 year old girl be? Perhaps she has a future in health care?
