She's lucky she's cute!

Where do I begin?
Um, have you ever had one of those days? You know, the kind where if something COULD go wrong it does, and by the end of the day you just want to close your eyes and forget it ever happened!? Well, that was my Wednesday. And my Thursday. Then I worked all day Friday and went straight to a bridal shower that evening. Yesterday I had ANOTHER bridal shower and I babysat my sister's kids last night. So, I haven't been on the computer at all and I feel sooo out of the loop. But, I thought I'd give you an update on us. We were in pretty rough shape for a couple days. Lily spent the majority of her time crying and I spent my time trying to figure out what was wrong. (Well, I spent some of my time crying too, and also pulling out my hair, cursing, and begging God for a little mercy.) See, her crying is relentless. She has always been able to SOB for long periods of time without growing weary. Her tears weren't just being spilled in the daytime hours either -- she was up more than a newborn on Thursday night. I don't have much in the way of patience at 2am, but we made it through somehow. Thankfully, "Sobfest 2007" was only a 2 day tour and we are back to sweet, funny, happy Lily. She has been a total crack-up this weekend! I feel like she is starting to talk so much more, and in full sentences. She will talk to me about the adventures she is taking..."thru da pickers and thorns...thru da ocean with da cwocadiwes...wook out for wild adimals!" (She watches WAY too much Dora!") And she is quick to give a big kiss and say "I yuv oo sooo much momma. We're a famiwee." She can be challenging at times, but one sweet little word from her mouth and all is forgiven.
More later. I need to get ready for work. Hope you are all well, and I will be catching up on my bloggy pal's blogs later tonight. Happy Sunday all!

Nice to see her looking so well. :)
Kids have a keen way of wraping us around their fingers before we even know it, huh? Sweet.

I'm so glad the smiles and lovin' is back. I'm sorry she was so sad. Also that you didn't get any sleep.

Happy Sunday!

wow, sorry for the bad days (we missed you by the way!!)...wonder what was wrong that made her so sad???

I spent lots of time with my 7 yr old nephew last nite, and he kept us all laughing, so the bouncing off the walls was a little more tolerable, hehe (one thing he said was "i'm gonna party til i'm purple" -- don't even know where that came from, but it had us cracking up!!)

Glad the weekend turned out to be good! Trust me, I know what your talking about with the whole crying nonstop thing. I have two of them and if one's crying it always seems like the pther starts! There is no peace and quiet in the Beckering home anymore! :)

i think it is genetic in little girls .... emily can be so sensitive somedays and just cry away and then others nothing can bother her ... oh the world of little girls !!!

We don't have "sobfests", but there are times that I am pulling my own hair out too! I just always refer back to these girls as being the strongest. Ya know, survival of the fittest. They are strong-willed, strong in spirit and strong in love. Glad to hear that all is back to "normal"! ; )

Glad she's back to her old self! A little over a week ago, we had a bad morning--one of those times when you think you must be doing everything wrong. Things have been going very well since then. (Btw, that book I told you about that is from the Love and Logic series is excellent! It gives lots of good, practical tools you can use.)

Oh gosh, those days are so hard. You hope and pray it is a phase and then you hope and pray again. Glad she seems to be on the rebound. Hang in there!

Oh, bless your heart, it's so hard when you can't tell what's wrong.
I'm glad she's doing better.

Sorry you guys had a rough few days! I'm glad things are back to normal!

I love hearing the things Lily says that I know she got from you -- I'm sure you must tell her all the time how much you love her and that you're a family. Just beautiful.

Got to have "those" moments to really make you appreciate the sweet ones. Well, maybe not. All sweet would be okay too:) I sure can relate, and feel like taking a nap just thinking about it:). Glad she is back to her sweet little self!

I understand. Hannah had a tantrum the other night all because Greg would not pick her up. I sent her to her room. After she finally calmed down and came out she was giggling and being silly. Such a different range of emotions they bring out in us.

My son and I had a day like this. He was a tantrum snot flying cring mess and I was crying too cuz Iwas so frustrated! I hear you my friend. Loud and clear. Those evenings I enjoy a little vino. Luckily my guy sleeps very well so I can do that. He's usually so challenging when he's tired and need more sleep. Glad the sobfest is over for you.
